Can 'Em All Permanent Upgrades: Sell Your Factory and Prestige

Learn how the factory-sale option appears, what a reset does, and how to check permanent upgrades before confirming a sale.

Selling your factory starts a new run and lets you spend the sale reward on permanent upgrades. The Steam achievement list independently records a first factory sale and buying every permanent upgrade as separate goals. Two player-written guides describe the reset and persistent upgrades, though they disagree about how many points are needed to buy everything; use the amount shown in your own game. Unlock the sale option

A player completion guide reports that the option is linked to company emails, not simply buying every ordinary upgrade. It describes progressing through the weapon tree and story messages, then opening and accepting an offer to sell the factory. Treat the exact email sequence as a player report for the launch build: if the offer is missing, review unread company messages and the requirements visible in your game. Before you confirm

  1. Open the Sell Your Factory menu and read the reward shown there.
  2. Check any current-run goal you want to complete first. A second player's achievement guide warns that a sale resets progress toward the feeding milestone; the Steam list identifies that milestone as feeding 100,000 children.
  3. Confirm the sale only when you are ready to restart the active factory.
  4. Spend the awarded points in the permanent-upgrade screen; inspect each listed cost and effect in the installed build.

The Tanya guide says permanent purchases survive later sales. A separate player guide describes damage, profit, and restart-related options. Their numeric estimates conflict with other player accounts, so this page does not present a definitive total cost or optimal build.

Prestige or ending?

Selling the factory is optional for reaching the ending according to the player completion guide. If you are pursuing the exit, see the ending guide. For the regular, current-run upgrade branches, see the skill tree; these are distinct systems.
